Choosing a location can feel like a lot—but don’t worry, I’ve got you. These are my go-to spots that consistently give us variety, good light, and that “wait… that’s us?!” kind of gallery.
I’ve broken them into two sections depending on the vibe you're going for:
Saline Conservation Area
Saline Conservation Area -Open fields, soft grasses, and a creek running through—this is the spot for that effortless, barefoot, slightly wild vibe. Best for any time of the year with good neutral clothing. Best during golden hour.
Downtown Eldon -A little edgy, a little small-town charm. Think brick, textures, and a more editorial feel.
The Strip at Lake of the Ozarks- Fun, playful, and a little chaotic in the best way. Perfect if you want something different with movement, lights, and personality.

The Lake Vibes (Eldon & Lake of the Ozarks Area)
Jacksonville Veteran Cemetery | Jacksonville, MO
For couples seeking a clean, timeless, and incredibly peaceful backdrop, the Jacksonville Veteran Cemetery is a hidden gem in Randolph County. While it offers a sense of quiet honor, the architectural lines and perfectly manicured landscapes provide a sophisticated, minimalist aesthetic that makes your outfit and connection the star of the show. It’s an ideal spot for classic engagement photos near Moberly if you want a location that feels both open and intimate.
Rothwell Park (yes… that one)
Okay listen… I know. But people love it for a reason. It’s convenient, versatile, and gives us a ton of variety in one location.
Depot District (Moberly)
For my couples who want a more urban, modern feel—brick, lines, and a little edge.
Union Covered Bridge
Classic Missouri. Wood tones, structure, and a little bit of history mixed in.
Beuth Park
Underrated and honestly such a solid option—greenery, space, and a relaxed vibe without the crowd.
The Pinnacle (off 63)
One of my personal favorites. Elevated views, open skies, and that “we drove somewhere cool for this” kind of feel.
